This is a wonderful course for both beginners and professionals. I have been in the industry for about 8 years as an editor and cameraman and I find myself always learning every day and I have learned loads while taking Philip's Cinematic Master Class. Having already completed the Filmmaking for Photographers course I was unsure exactly how much I needed to take this course. I'm really pleased I watched this Master Class. The class on Timelapse alone is worth the cost of this course. What a fantastic course. I have completed a few online courses, and this is the first one that took me into situations that I actually recognised.
How to find a shot and light a sitting room? No one covers this, and yet it is precisely the situation you're going to find yourself in if you work in the 'real world'.
I really enjoyed this and it has really inspired me to get up and going again post-covid. Not only because I learned something from it, but also because, it reminded me that there are others out there, doing it on their own, and still making it work.

As a filmmaker of 20+ years, I found this class to be valuable refresher training. Much of it I already knew, but I learned a lot of valuable new information. For beginner and intermediate filmmakers, it's an excellent course for learning about the craft of filmmaking.

Great masterclass! As an experienced independent filmmaker (not necessarily good) I have learned something new in every module. A lot of stuff I knew already but it was still good to refresh those and to see how others, in this case Philip, works. For me, the last module was the only one in which I didn't learned much, possibly because I use other software in post and I tend not to use third party solutions. Overall, I loved this course. I'm a big fan of Philip's work and this course gives a good overview of his thinking and process. The information is well-organized and presented in his winsome way. It's something I'm sure I'll watch again and again. If I had one complaint, it would be he title "Masterclass". To me, a masterclass is one that pushes an intermediate or advanced user toward being a master of their craft (which is what I was looking for). This is much more of a ground-up foundation that, while still of benefit to seasoned users, seems more geared beginners.
